Documented history

La Curva: Espanyol's supporters' group since 2002

According to an RCD Espanyol statement of August 2016, La Curva was born with the club's social and institutional support, which it maintained throughout its fourteen years of existence. In 2014, a report by Europa Press also used «La Curva» to name the animation area where the members of Brigadas Blanquiazules were located, alongside the Juvenil.

2016: La 1900 and the break with the club

In August 2016, Espanyol made La Curva's participation in the new unified stand, La 1900, conditional on its public adherence to the project, a change of spokespeople and the proposal of heads of working areas; otherwise it would stop recognising it as an official animation group. The club defined that project as a safe, apolitical and non-violent stand. On 14 October it temporarily withdrew privileges from the animation groups. In November, Iusport reported the suspension of the project: coexistence between La Curva and the Juvenil, until then located in sectors 109 and 110, had proved impossible.

These are arrests and identifications, not convictions.

The Grada Canito

In 2025, La Curva and the Juvenil shared the Grada Canito, the young fans' stand at the RCDE Stadium, named after the former player Canito. After the multiple running-down incident that occurred around the stadium before the derby against FC Barcelona in May 2025, both groups suspended their animation and issued a joint statement, according to El 1900.
