Documented history

Infierno Pacense: origin in 1996 and the 2012 announcement of its closure

Infierno Pacense was an ultra group of the former CD Badajoz. According to the group's own blog, it was born in 1996 and announced its dissolution on 3 August 2012. The account comes from the blogs of Infierno Pacense, Brigadas Charras and Ultras CDB, with no corroboration from independent press among the sources cited.

1996: the start at the old Vivero

The group's blog, with entries from November 2009, attributes the initiative to two former members of Hordas Pacenses, joined by young people with no background in earlier groups. It places the first matches in a curve of the Fondo Poniente of the old Vivero. These are details from the group's own account; no independent source found confirms them.

Écija, the first banner and modest tifos

According to the same blog, the first trip to Écija brought together 35 members. They then made their first banner and tifos of confetti and balloons, limited by the small budget.

Sections and the Curva 1905

In 2009 the blog lists three sections (Estación, Borrachos 96 and Zafra) and puts at 60 or 70 people the total of the group and the Curva 1905, with which it shared a stand, material and tifos. In a February 2010 interview published by Brigadas Charras, a member placed around 2005 the moment when the groups came together behind one banner, each with its own identity, and mentioned the fanzine «Poder Blanquinegro».

Friendships and enmities according to the group

The group's blog (2009) states that it had been friends with Brigadas Charras since the 1996/97 season and that the two were twinned. It also names Frente Onuba and Área Blanquiazul as friends, and Legiones Sur, Escuadrón Verdiblanco, Frente Cerrete and Frente Atlético as enemies. This is self-attribution; no independent confirmation or the other groups' point of view has been found.

The Estación section

In an interview published in December 2009 by Ultras CDB, the Estación section said it had always been «very political», although the atmosphere in the stand was changing, and mentioned friction with the Curva 1905 for that reason. It is the section speaking, not the whole group.

August 2012: announcement of dissolution

The statement «Hasta Siempre Hermanos...», reproduced on Ultras CDB on 3 August 2012, announces the group's dissolution, ties the decision to the disappearance of the club it had followed since 1996 and thanks its members for taking part. It is an announcement by the group itself.

Ideology and identity · Infierno Pacense

Infierno Pacense did not define itself with a political label in the sources found, all of them from the ultra scene. Its blog (2009) lists among its enemies «all the groups that renounce Spain». In an interview published by Brigadas Charras (2010), a member said he did not believe there was a single apolitical person in Spain, and the Estación section declared in 2009 that «we have always been very political». These are members' opinions, not an official position of the group.
