According to members of one of its sections, interviewed in 2014, Curva Sur was born in 2008, when former members of Herculigans and Las Banderas came together in the Fondo Sur of the Rico Pérez. The group itself confirmed in November 2018 that it had been born «10 years ago», «solely and exclusively, by and for Hércules». Its recent history alternates support activities, incidents with arrests and a changing relationship with the club.

2008–2014: from the Fondo Sur to the Fondo Norte

That section said at the time that it had no friendships and cited the supporters of Elche, Valencia and Murcia as enemies.

Ideology and identity · Curva Sur

The National Police considered Curva Sur a far-right group in November 2018, according to Alicante Plaza, when investigating its fight with Barricada Albinegra, of Castellón. The next day the group replied in a statement reported by Información that it was born «solely and exclusively, by and for Hércules» and that linking it to any political ideology «makes absolutely no sense». These are two dated positions: a police attribution reported by the press and a self-definition by the group. Neither refers to Hércules's supporters as a whole.
