Documented history

Ghetto 28: the CD Leganés ultra group since 2009

CD Leganés includes Ghetto 28 in its supporters' group directory with the year 2009, and the group itself places its creation in the same year. In its first years it documented matches and away trips on a blog; from 2013 it mostly posted on Twitter, on an account presented as the official one of «Ghetto 28 Ultras Leganés». Its history runs alongside Leganés' rise from Segunda B to Primera.

2009–2014: blog, fanzine and Segunda B

In July 2014 the group summarised its Segunda B season: trips to grounds in Madrid and Aragon and the three trips of the promotion play-offs, to Guijuelo, Lleida and Hospitalet. It published four issues of the fanzine Invencibles, quarterly, with a history of the ultra movement in Leganés and interviews with veteran supporters, and made scarves for its fifth anniversary. According to its account, in Guijuelo the police stopped it from unfurling the first of the tifos it had prepared because the material had no fireproof certificate, and it displayed slogans, flags and banners instead. The same review described a visit by six members of Gate 12, of Greece's Egaleo.

2016: Primera División and the enlarged north stand

In October 2016, with Leganés in Primera, the group celebrated on its blog the new stand with the enlarged north end and listed the first trips of the season, to Gijón, Granada and Málaga. There it also explained that since 2013 it had been posting its photos on Twitter.

Soria, 2023: police investigation

The attacks of 27 May 2023 in Soria, before the Numancia–Cornellà match, led in November of that year to twenty arrests, nine of them in Leganés. According to investigators quoted by the press, the main groups were Orgullo Numantino, Ligallo Fondo Norte and «Guetto 28», confronting Coornehools, of Cornellà. Those arrested were investigated for public disorder, injuries, damage, hate and membership of a criminal group. In April 2025 the National Police arrested seven more people in the Community of Madrid for the same events. None of the sources consulted records a sentence.

December 2024: banner in the Fondo Norte

In its note on the Leganés–Villarreal match of 22 December 2024, LaLiga identified a group of supporters behind a Ghetto 28 banner in the corner of the Fondo Norte with Tribuna Par, and attributed to them coordinated chants against Getafe. The note specifies that the incidents came only from that area. The rivalry with Getafe's radical supporters is old: Comandos Azules was already declaring in 2001 its enmity with the Leganés ultras.

Bilbao, January 2025: detention and escort

On 26 January 2025, before Athletic–Leganés, the Ertzaintza detained around fifty Leganés ultras, diverted to Basurto the bus carrying Ghetto 28 members and escorted them to San Mamés.
