Documented history
Frente Orellut: the CD Castellón ultra group since 1987
The archive of the Asociación Fondo 1922 places the birth of Frente Orellut in 1987 and presents it as the heir of Ultra Torre, whose spirit goes back to 1978. The same account dates the creation of the association to 2017, when leaders of several Gol Sur Bajo supporters' groups joined forces to organise the animation of that stand.
A name that comes from the black-and-white fans
«Orellut», “big-eared” in Castilian, is the nickname by which CD Castellón and its supporters are known. The RFEF explained in 2020 that it comes from the figure of an elephant that the goalkeeper Alanga placed behind his goal; preceded by a double clap, it forms the cry «pam-pam, orellut». LaLiga recalled that same year that the team and its fans are known as orelluts. None of the sources consulted explains why the group chose that nickname for its name in 1987.

According to elDiario.es, before the UE Sant Andreu–CD Castellón match of 10 June 2018 there were assaults on home supporters; the same outlet, citing Crónica Global, reports that in 2020 the Audiencia Provincial de Barcelona convicted over those events a neo-Nazi ultra, without specifying whether he was a member of the group. In 2019 the Agrupació de Penyes Albinegres reported assaults by Frente Orellut members during a match in Cuenca. It is a complaint, not a ruling.

In November 2023 elDiario.es reported that fans with Frente Orellut symbols followed the Castellón–Atlético Baleares match from the stand at Castalia. In March 2024, witnesses to the assault on the La Cosa Nostra social centre in Castelló told El Salto that recognisable members of the group were among the attackers, and elDiario.es reported that they pointed to those who gather in the Fondo 1922 stand, «linked to Frente Orellut». These are testimonies collected by the press; no court ruling located attributes those events to the collective.

On 1 July 2024, CD Castellón announced a single animation stand in Gol Sur Bajo for the 2024–2025 season, under the leadership of the Asociación Fondo 1922. The 2025–2026 season-ticket dossier kept Fondo 1922 in Gol Sur Bajo with a register of its members, and the 2026–2027 campaign dossier extends the animation stand to the whole Gol Sud Baix, with access reserved for season-ticket holders. The club's documents do not mention Frente Orellut by name.
