Documented history

Frente Onuba: the Recreativo de Huelva ultra group since 1983

The group's statement for its 30th anniversary, reproduced by HuelvaYA in 2013, sets the foundation of Frente Onuba on 23 December 1983, and Albiazules repeated that date on its 40th anniversary. According to the group's own account, it was born among pupils of the Hermanos Maristas school in Huelva and merged in 1985 with the Forza Recre supporters' group. La Soga also places it among the ultra groups that emerged in 1983.

From the Maristas to Hordas recreativista

The collective's blog attributes its origin to young people from the Hermanos Maristas school in Huelva and distinguishes that 1983 core from the union with Forza Recre in 1985. For the 1995–1996 season, the same account describes the reissue of the fanzine Hordas recreativista, organisation by membership cards and the use of cards in choreographies.

From the Gol Norte to the Fondo corner

In its 30th-anniversary statement, in 2013, the group referred to the Gol Norte as its «former location». In April 2018 Huelva Información described it as the majority group of the animation stand, and in September 2026 the club assigned the Fondo corner of the Nuevo Colombino to that stand and to Frente Onuba, according to Albiazules.

Memory, solidarity and defence of the club

Every December the group remembers the supporters who died on 20 December 2006, when a bus travelling to the Bernabéu collided with a lorry. At Christmas it organises the toy campaign «Un juguete, una sonrisa» (“A toy, a smile”), and in 2015 it recorded a video for the #SalvemosalRecre campaign of the Recreativo Supporters Trust. In November 2022, together with the Grada 20 de Diciembre and other collectives, it gave up travelling to Utrera because of ticket prices.

2023–2026: anniversary and mosaics

In December 2023 it celebrated its 40th anniversary, although the rules on fireproof materials prevented it from unfurling the planned tifo and the banners in memory of those who died in 2006, according to Albiazules. In September 2026, against Xerez, it displayed a mosaic with the slogan «Decano de Cuna», and in October the players went over to its location to thank it for the support, according to Diario de Huelva.
